Novas Tendências de Mobilidade Elétrica e Impactos na Qualidade de Energia

Resumo

The electric mobility sector has been subject of recent researches to improve the Electric Vehicles competitiveness in the market, which is a promising tendency nowadays. Together with the sector's improvements, it is growing the concerns about the power quality impacts coming from the Electric Vehicles insertion, due to its topology and control system that may inject harmonics in power grids. Considering such tendencies in the market, this article aims to bring a comparative study between two types of charging systems: Conventional and Inductive. The inductive charging, also known as Inductive Power Transfer (IPT), is a system in which the vehicle has no physical contact with the electrical network, so the electricity reaches the vehicle circuit through an inductive coupling. In this study, it is shown, through simulation run at Simulink by MATLAB® that the inductive charging injects more voltage and current harmonics than the conventional charging for anyone of the three scenarios of battery charging used on this modeling.
