Resumo
Estimation of the solar irradiation incidence on the surface of photovoltaic panels is a determinant factor for the analysis of risks and the expected energy generated by photovoltaic systems. One of the biggest challenges in this field is to obtain the incident radiation on tilted surfaces since the radiation data available in meteorological databases considers only the radiation on the horizontal plane. For the conversion of the radiation data from the horizontal to the tilted plane, there are several mathematical models available in the literature, such as Perez's model and Hay's model. The analysis described in this study seeks to investigate the impact of these transposition models as well as the accuracy of the NASA SSE and Meteonorm 7.1 irradiation databases, regarding the power generation of a photovoltaic system located at the Tanquinho Photovoltaic Power Plant in Brazil.
