Resumo
This paper presents a comparative study between two methodologies that uses the Fault Positions Method to solve the problem of allocation of power quality monitors in distribution systems. Multiobjective optimization techniques were used to provide solutions that minimize the costs of monitoring and the amount of unmonitored voltage sags. For this, the Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II was employed. The obtained results showed an excellent performance of one of the proposed methods, allowing the total coverage of the sags occurred in the distribution system analyzed.
