Resumo

This paper is concerned with stability analysis of uncertain systems with time-varying delay. It is presented an improved stability criterion derived within the framework of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The main idea consists in appropriately splitting into two parts a single integral term of a quadratic Lyapunov- Krasovskii functional recently proposed in the literature. Then we show that such division leads to conservatism reduction of the stability analysis criterion in the case when the delay is time-varying and/or the system is subject to uncertain parameters. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
