Resumo

The transmission lines are equipment that emits high-intensity magnetic field due to their high currents. Such magnetic fields can be harmful to health and cause interference in electronic devices. This paper presents a methodology to minimize the magnetic field emitted by transmission lines at ground level. For this, the magnetic field is calculated based on the electromagnetic analytical model and optimized by a stochastic method known as Differential Evolution (DE). The penalty method is considered for the treatment of problem constraints. To show the DE robustness, the results are compared with a well-established optimization method, the Genetic Algorithm (GA).
